Summary

More
During a romp in the snow, Nicki loses one of the white woolen mittens his grandmother knitted especially for him. A little mole burrows into its warm and cozy interior, followed by a rabbit, hedgehog, owl, badger, fox, bear, and mouse. Grandma's good knitting holds strong as the mitten swells and stretches to many times its size.

Can Nicki find his lost mitten before one too many animals climbs inside and it bursts at the seams? The next scene, when the mouse's whiskers accidentally tickle the bear's nose, makes a wonderfully comical climax.

Bestselling author/illustrator Jan Brett's wonderfully expressive artwork perfectly complements this retelling that makes for a terrific story-time or bedtime read-aloud.
